Stills From My Short Film Debut: DEAD STARS
June 26, 2006 by igme
Hey Guys,
Here’s a peek at my short film debut, "Dead Stars." I’m still reeling from the fragments of adrenaline rush, or maybe from fatigue. The stills from the film would suffice for a moment. My experience deserve a readable piece. Watch out for it soon.
On the left side is Ebong Joson, the main actor, and my main DOP, Brent.
Befor the highlight of the film…
With my actress and a good friend thereafter…
Ms. Therese Trinidad.
One of my greatest blessings who made this film materialize…Norman Wright.
It pays listening to your colleague in biz…(that’s me and my BIG hair, not bloated ego…)
After a cloudy morning and an erratic weather, God turned this all around in the afternoon…thank you for my "prayer warriors" (you know who you are)
Forgot to bring sunblock, sorry folks…
Pack-up na…our last shooting day on June 17 was finally done and over with…the man at the background is my father, shy but really supportive of my pursuits…thanks for everything…
Congratulations IGGY!
Uwi ako ng Manila on October. Hope to see you. Can you leave your contact numbers thru email?
Tschüß!
Vincent
You certainly topped my expectations with your film debut. To be honest, I didn’t expect much from a newbie…not from lack of confidence in you…but from the reverent knowledge that film is a tough medium to crack.
But you burst through with your inchoate artistry. Your film is suffused with tenderness and nuances. You succeeded by making your film, not the dialogue, tell the story. I think that’s the essence of what a filmmaker should do. Your film has soul.
My dad believes that you’ll go places as an artist…so do I. Congratulations on your auspicious film debut. I feel blessed to be seeing with my very eyes a filmmaker-in-the-making.
Thanks AJ! You never failed me, my number one fan! Hehe
